Our sense of fashion changes every couple of years. What was once thought to be trendy and fashionable is now seen as out of date. In a world where everyone judges you based on your appearance, if you are not wearing nice clothes you will be looked down upon.
There are many different types of clothing out there. Custom printed clothes are hugely popular in the United States for instance but they are regressing slowly. Depending on where you live and the socio-economic status in your area, one type of clothing may be seen as better than others and vice versa in a different area.
We all wear different types of clothes and there is no right or wrong way to wear them. Clothing is judged too harshly because some people simply cannot afford to wear the best clothes.
If you live in an area that is wealthy and values personal looks, you better be wearing nice clothes because you will be picked apart if you do not. Even kids in school get judged based on what clothes their parents buy for them. To fit in kids have to wear nice expensive clothes.
It seems every few years there is a new trend and there will be another one happening soon. If clothing is important to you than you better keep up to date with fashion.
